Title Scenes
You certainly want to include some Title Scenes in your movie as Intro, Trailer or even between scenes.
This section explain how to include still images or image sequence exported from Flash Authoring Tool from Macromedia.Still Images with Paint
You can create still images in numerous way. Just use Paint to create one.
Flash Sequences
- Open Paint tool.
- Draw whatever you want.
- Select Save As... in File menu and choose Bitmap 24bits, give any name to your bmp file, e.g: MyIntro.bmp
In QVM, in a new scene,
- Change the Sequence Folder to where you saved your bmp file.
- Then type in the name of you bmp file into the Sequence format field.
- Click Scan Frames button to validate the sequence. The new image should appear in the preview when clicking play button.
Change Timescale factor to 100 for example, if the Frame Rate has been set to 25, then, the scene duration will be 1000/25 that is 4 seconds.That's it.
QVM does not directly support Flash format, but the Flash Authoring tool allows you to export a Flash Movie to a sequence of images. Flash is a very popular tool to create animations on the web, why not using it to create nice Title Scenes in QVM?Other tools
- Start Flash.
- Create your animation.
- Export to a image sequence with File->Export Movie.

- Select PNG Sequence (or Bitmap Sequence) in the Type menu. Choose name (e.g: intro). PNG format is recommended since it is well compressed and would save disk space.

Flash will export the animation to image files using the name you entered as eh prefix and starting at index 0001 (e.g.: intro0001.png ... introNNNN.png).

In QVM, change Sequence Folder to where you exported the image sequence.
- Type in intro####.png in the Sequence format field.
- Click on Scan Frames button to validate the frames.
That's it.
You can use a wide selection of tools to create Title Scenes. The only thing you have to worry about is the way they can export sequence and images, especially size and format.
